ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 24 th APRIL DARSHAN DAY AND UPDATE ON AUROMIRA CENTRE REFURBISHMENT
The current refurbishment works will take longer than anticipated because we have had to add aconsiderable amount of necessary works whilst the original works were being undertaken.
It will not be possible to have our morning meditation at the Shrine and the evening meditation meeting ofprayers and readings in the Maheshwari (meditation ) Room.
On this occasion, we shall have an online evening Darshan Day meeting through Google Meet. This willcommence at 7:30 pm and will be for an hour. A joining link will be sent on Thursday 23 rd April.

Update on refurbishment
Much of phase 1 renovation and repair has been completed but it has been necessary for reasons of safetyas well as ease for the future to undertake a considerable amount of works that were originally designatedfor phase 2 and even phase 3.
Works nearing completion include:1. Refurbishment of the mediation room (to be called Maheshwari Room) . Awaiting carpet and blinds.2. Refurbishment of the front room (to be called Mahasaraswati Room) which is also an open plan with theMaheshwari room. Awaiting carpet, window grills and blinds3. Total refurbishment of the hallway, stairs, landing and the second set of stairs to top floor. Awaiting carpet4. Installation of a new boiler system with new pipework on the 126 side of the property5. Installation of new electric fuse boxes and check of all electrics6. Installation of blue pipes to improve waterflow7. Creation of a small kitchen on the 124 side after total refurbishment8. Total refurbishment of the Shrine9. Total refurbishment of one bedroom10. Total refurbishment of two cloakrooms

New works being added (originally in phases 2 and 3)
1. Refurbishment of one more bedroom and the box room on the 126 side. This will ensure there is no
damage to refurbished areas in the future.
2. Refurbishment of the side corridor which leads to the garden
3. Check and restoration of roofing over the Shrine and New Creation Hall
4. Refurbishment of the ceilings outside New Creation Hall and the Shrine as well as the passage ceiling
and decking between the two.
5. Restoration of the floor area outside the Shrine.
We had started with a cost of £60,200. The first set of additional works were costed at £11,300. The second
set of additional works, approved by the Trustees yesterday have been costed at £7,500.
The total dedicated cost thus far for phase 1 plus portions of phase 2 and 3 works is therefore: £79,000
We received a settlement of £16,000 from the insurers and the offerings towards refurbishment so far
received are around £42,000. This means we have funds totalling £58,000.
Therefore, we still have a shortfall of around £21,000 to cover these works and there will be additional costs
for carpeting (around £4,300 for phase 1) , window grills (for security) and blinds to add.
It has been truly heartwarming to have received from so many of you, such generous offerings towards this
project to refurbish Auromira Centre. We hope that with this update, further offerings would be received.
Once the works are complete and Auromira Centre is safe for visitors, we shall announce the re-opening.
We also intend to organise an open meeting to discuss the use and function of the refurbished rooms once
the centre is fully open.
There is also a special occasion planned for some time in June – more details on this in due course.
