Dear Devotees,It is now 4 weeks since refurbishment work commenced at Auromira centre. Much has been done but there is still much more to do.As one would expect, whilst we progress, some new jobs have emerged and have to be added to the overall works with a small increase in costs.We have also asked for quotes on carpets and, in due course, will be looking for quotes on blinds.
Finances
Initial cost:
£60,200
Insurance claim money granted:
£16,000
Offerings to date:
£29,300
Hence the current deficit is £14,900
We anticipate to add around £6,000 or so for carpets and blinds and another £3,000 or so for additional works that have emerged or have been added. This includes redecorating the Shrine and some essential electric works to make the property safe.
A sample of work in progress:
New bannister for the staircase and removal of all old woodwork plus new lighting
Repair and refurbishment of previously water damaged bedroom – for future use by guests to Auromira Centre
Washroom on the 124 Whitton Ave. side for use by visitors
Maheshwari and Mahasaraswati rooms in transformation with a dividing door frame in place.
