The Relics Centre of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR DARSHAN DAY 15th August 2026
In preparation for the sacred occasion of Darshan Day, we invite devotees to offer help at the Centre. We have several opportunities available on 13th, 14th, and 15th August to help prepare our sacred spaces.
1. Flower Arrangements & Decor (13th & 14th August)
- Flower Pickup & Delivery: Collect pre-ordered flowers and deliver them to the Centre on 13th/14th August.
- Shrine & Room Decorations: Assist with simple flower arrangements for the Shrine, Maheshwari Room, and New Creation Hall.
- Garland Making: Prepare garlands for Sri Aurobindo’s bust and small photos.
- Cleanup Support: Help clear and tidy up the space following flower preparations.
2. Premises Preparation & Cleaning
- Shrine Area: Clean the outside Shrine area, including glass doors.
- New Creation Hall: Clean exterior areas, glass doors, and windows.
- Maheshwari Room Patio: Clean the patio area and glass patio doors.
- Front Entryway: General cleaning of the front area of the Centre.
3. Darshan Day Offerings & Visitor Support (15th August)
- Prasad Contributions: Offerings of dry prasad are warmly welcomed from all devotees.
- Welcome & Hospitality: The Centre will remain open all day following morning meditation. Volunteers are needed for time slots throughout the day to welcome visitors and assist with entry.
